This
year’s Detroit Auto Show has been a great occasion to check out on the
evolution of the automotive industry, and, at the same time, it was the
place where the
Lexus LF-LC Concept was unveiled. Many
months have passed since January and in the meantime the model has been
garnished with a blue paintjob and a hybrid powertrain.
This model, unveiled at the Australian International Motor Show just a couple of days ago, was dubbed as the
Lexus LF-LC Blue,
and it’s a bit closer to mass production than the previous model. In
order to keep it as much lightweight as possible, the car was crafted
from aluminum and carbon fiber. Its powertrain has been named the
Advanced Lexus Hybrid Drive and uses an electric motor as well as a
regular, petrol internal combustion engine.
In addition, the power plant comes with an impressive battery pack
able to provide more muscle than the current system of the carmaker, as
well as reduced sizes. Lexus say that the concept can develop a whopping
500 HP (372 kW), which sets the LF-LC Blue concept right among the
highest performance hybrid supercars. Nevertheless, this car is as
powerful and aggressive as it is marvelous!
